The whole property is run on solar energy which powers the homestead like a modern home
and all other accommodations also have solar energy.
During the wet season
it is powered by a hydroelectric system which gets its water delivered by 700m
of 50mm pipe which meanders down from a waterfall up Mt. Bridgeman.
This environment
friendly system firstly fills a 20000 gallon drinking water tank, which automatically
shuts off before it continues its way down to the generator. The dumped water
continues on, to fill an earth dam for stock water. From there it continues on
its way back to the creek. The only thing taken is a small amount of drinking
water and the energy that it delivers.
